Tallaght hospital has been given two weeks to devise a plan to beef up its management and clinical service issues.
Its one of three demands that the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) is making of the hospital in light of the x-ray controversy there.
HIQA’sTracey Cooper told Lunchtime with Eamon Keane patients need to know they can have confidence in Tallaght hospital.
“What we’ve issued today are a series of actions that we have had discussions with the hospital over the last 10 days around” she said.
“They focus specifically on the need of the hospital to demonstrate to its patients and itself that it can assure the quality of its services” she added.
