Ireland’s Bobsleigh pilot, Aoife Hoey has been chosen to be the team’s flag bearer in Friday’s opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics. The 25-year-old from Portarlington will lead the team during the athletes’ parade in Vancouver. Hoey’s involvement in the Bobsleigh competition is still under threat after a second objection from Brazil, who have objected to their late entrance to the qualifying campaign.
