Miguel Angel Jimenez has won this years Dubai Desert Classic. He beat Englands Lee Westwood on a playoff, after both had finished on 11 under. Best of the Irish was Rory McIlroy who tied for sixth, finishing on 8 under for the tournament.

Graeme McDowell and Gareth Maybin finished up on 3 under, with Darren Clarke just one shot behind on 2 under.
