Liverpool look to Europa League for salvation

Apr 1st, 2010, 8:55 am

After two thrilling nights of champions league action, tonight the attention switches to the Europa League with Liverpool continuing their bid for their first piece of silverware in 4 years.

The Merseysiders are in Lisbon to take on Benfica minus the services of Alberto Aquilani who picked up an ankle injury in training this week.

Benfica are top of the Portugese league and have suffered just one defeat at home in all competitions this season.

Meanwhile Fulham welcome German champions Wolfsburg to Craven Cottage.

Bobby Zamora is expected to start up front for the hosts despite suffering from a head cold.
