Munster may be without Paul O’Connell for the rest of the season, but the remainder of their injury worries look as though they will be invovled in Saturday’s Magners League semi-final. The province have confirmed that O’Connell did not go for surgery on his groin injury earlier this week as reported, but he’s already resigned to missing the rest of the season. Ian Dowling is the only other first-team regular that is missing for Saturday’s game, although Doug Howlett is available so it’s unlikely he would have started. Crucially, Mick O’Driscoll, Keith Earls and Jerry Flannery have also been included in the provisional squad. Doug Howlett, Keith Earls and Jerry Flannery are all included in the Munster squad from which the team to play Leinster in the Magners League semi final in the RDS on Saturday will be selected.
