O'Connell missing for Munster

Apr 14th, 2010, 6:40 pm

Paul O’Connell has been left out of the extended Munster squad for this Sunday’s Magners League trip to Galway to face Connacht. Team manager Shaun Payne revealed yesterday that they remain in the dark about when the skipper would be available again after his groin injury failed to respond to a number of different treatments in the build-up to last weekend’s win over Northampton. Keith Earls has also been left out of the panel for this weekend, despite reporting no reaction to his groin injury after the Saints game, while Ian Dowling and Doug Howlett have also been ommitted as they recover from knocks they picked-up last weekend. Meanwhile, Leinster have confirmed that tickets are now on sale for season ticket holders who want to travel to their Heineken Cup semi-final against Toulouse. Holders can buy up to 12 tickets each before the remaining allocation goes on general sale before Friday night’s game against the Ospreys. Munster Squad: S Deasy, S Zebo, T Gleeson, L Mafi, J de Villiers, D Barnes, R O’Gara, P Warwick, J Manning, T O’Leary, P Stringer, J Coughlan, N Ronan, P O’Mahoney, A Quinlan, D Wallace, N Williams, B Holland, D Foley, D O’Callaghan, M O’Driscoll, D Fogarty, J Flannery, D Varley, M Horan, J Hayes, J Brugnaut, T Buckley, D Ryan.
