Waterford teenager Kevin Phelan has qualified for this month’s US Open at Pebble Beach. The 19-year-old produced a remarkable “perfect shot” to eagle the final hole of a qualifying tournament this afternoon to seal his place in the tournament that runs from June 17th to the 20th. Phelan, who is a student at the University of North Florida, carded a second round of 65 to tie with senior pro, Gary Woodland for first place in the qualifier.
