Pipe bomb explodes on south Dublin

Gardaí have sealed-off a house in south Dublin this morning after a ‘suspect device’ exploded.

The item, believed to be a pipe bomb, was thrown into a house in Ballyboden at 7.30am.

No one was injured in the attack.

The device is now being technically examined.
