Lawyers for a serial rapist will attempt to stop several newspapers from publishing photos of him, as well as his address, at the High Court later today.
Michael Murray, who is originally from Dublin’s south inner city, served 13 years for raping four women over a six day period in 1995.
Michael Murray claims that since his release from Castlerea Prison last year he cannot live or work anywhere.
He says that as soon as he moves several newspapers reveal his address and print pictures of him.
As a result, he is moving between bed and breakfast accommodation.
His lawyers want to stop the Evening Herald, the Daily Star, Star on Sunday, News of the World and the Sun from publishing photos of him and his address.
None of the publications agreed to give undertakings over publicity pending this morning’s High Court hearing.
