A domestic abuse charity is warning that technology is becoming a common tool for abusive men to monitor and control women.
Women’s Aid says it has recorded a notable increase in disclosures by women being abused, controlled or stalked through technology.
According to it’s annual report more than 10,000 calls were received by the charity’s helpline last year.
2 of every 3 calls were from women experiencing physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse at the hands of an intimate partner.
