Two people have been killed on the roads in Dublin and Cork overnight.

At about ten past eleven, a woman in her mid forties was hit by a car while crossing the dual carriageway of the N4 in Dublin, near the flyover.

She was taken to hospital but later died.

Meanwhile, a teenager’s died in a two car collision on the northside of Cork city.

It happened at around half past eleven on Harbour View Road.

The 17 year old was a passenger in one of the cars.
