The Ulster Defence Association is expected to announce today that it has completed the decommissioning its weapons.

It’s understood that General John de Chastelain, the head of the international decommissioning body witnessed the act in recent weeks.

Details of the decommissioning process are expected to be confirmed at a press conference in Belfast this morning.
