The Unite union says it will strongly oppose the loss of 750 jobs at Bank of Scotland Ireland.

The bank announced yesterday that it was pulling out of the retail market here.

The company’s 44 Hallifax branches are set to close, along with its call centre in Dundalk in Co Louth.
