United must pass German test as Robben returns

Apr 7th, 2010, 10:01 am

Manchester United will be aiming to be the sole Premier League side in the semi finals of the champions league, as they welcome Bayern Munich to Old Trafford tonight.

The 3 time winners must overcome a 2-1 first leg deficit, and bounce back from consecutive defeats to Bayern and Chelsea.

United are likely to be without their talismanic striker Wayne Rooney, despite continued speculation he may be named on the bench, while former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben is set to return for the visitors.

Elsewhere tonight Lyon take a 3-1 lead into their quarter final second leg tie away to fellow French outfit Bordeaux.
