Women who ran brothel ordered to leave Limerick

May 21st, 2010, 2:47 pm

Two Romanian women have been ordered to leave Limerick within the next 72 hours, after they pleaded guilty to operating a brothel in the city.

The women – who are aged 25 and 19 – were arrested at an apartment complex at Henry Street last night following a garda surveillance operation.

Limerick District Court was told the women were arrested in Waterford last November, and that a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution in relation to that alleged offence.

Judge Tom O’Donnell imposed six month jail sentences on each of the women which he suspended for a year.
