And the Oscar Winner is….

Dubliner Richard Baneham was among the winners at this morning’s Oscars for his graphics work on mega-movie, Avatar.

But the big story of the night has been The Hurt Locker – which has beaten Avatar to take Best Picture.

Kathryn Bigelow also took the Best Director prize for the Iraq war drama, becoming the first female to ever win the award.

Her film received 6 awards in total.

Jeff Bridges won his first ever Oscar for Crazy Heart.
