Newstalk’s army of bean counters have been randomly sampling coffee in shops stretching from Cork to Cairo and here are their findings:

Jerusalem provided the most expensive cup of coffee sampled by our
Newstalk coffee bean counters at $4.50 (€3.30).
Gloria Jean’s in Cork was the most expensive cup sampled in Ireland at
€3.10.
Hong Kong and New York provided the cheapest cups and the only ones for
under €1. At 73 cent Dunkin Donuts in Manhattan was the cheapest cuppa
we found.
The cheapest found in Ireland was €1.70 in Limerick. The Treaty City was
also the cheapest location, on average, surveyed in Ireland.
Elaine Cobb found it nigh on impossible to source take-away coffee in
Paris but her figures put the average price in the French capital at
€3.30.
