Tallaght hospital Chief Professor Kevin Conlon has confirmed he was aware of GP concerns about radiology at the hospital last summer.
But it only emerged last night that 58,000 X-rays taken over a 4-year period were never reviewed by a consultant radiologist.
He spoke to Claire and said GP’s did raise concerns with the Health Information and Quality Authority last summer, but insists that neither they, nor he realised the extent of the problem until December….
