Coleman at Large

Coleman at Large with Marc Coleman is where brainless consensus is broken and waffling is exposed in a no holds barred debate. Oh and the music and banter is pretty good too.

Show Line Up- 14th July

Jul 14th, 2010, 1:17 pm

france

A special programme on Bastille Day dedicated to all things French. While the French Revolution is celebrated for ‘liberty, fraternity & equality’ Marc questions the hagiography of the revolution in France. Far from being progressive, were the events in late 18 century damaging to France and beyond right up to the present day?

The Irish Times Paris correspondent Ruadhan McCormaic will be on the line to discuss the latest political developments and scandals concerning the government of Sarkozy. Marc & studio guests will also examine the culture, the sport, the language, the food and the wine of France.

Guests joining Marc in studio include Noel Canty (TV5 Irlande), Anne Brudell (French Language Teachers Association), Patrick Champot (Hoist the French Sail), Claire Bourgeois (Alliance Francaise in Dublin) & Cllr Bill Tormey (Fine Gael).

There will also be all the usual comment, debate and analysis, as well as a preview of the morning papers.

Coleman at Large, 21:00-23:30, Tuesdays & Wednesdays, Newstalk 106-108 FM
