Coleman at Large

Coleman at Large with Marc Coleman is where brainless consensus is broken and waffling is exposed in a no holds barred debate. Oh and the music and banter is pretty good too.

media

On tonight’s programme hosted by Chris Donoghue we examine the state of the media in Ireland & the latest trends. Are traditional newspapers in irreversible decline? Will news on the internet migrate behind a paywall or will it continue to be accessible for free? We also examine the health of RTE and the CEO of TV3 David McRedmond will be on the line to discuss the increase in advertising per hour on Irelands leading private TV network.

With political advertising a feature of political life in other states, would its introduction in Ireland be a welcome or negative development? With a compilation of some of the worst attack adverts from Canada, the United States & Australia the panel analyses this pertinent topic. Chris is joined live in studio with Seamus Dooley (NUJ), John Ryan (www.broadsheet.ie and publisher) and the writer Giles Brody.

There will also be all the usual comment, debate & analysis, as well as a preview of the morning papers.
