Coleman at Large

Coleman at Large with Marc Coleman is where brainless consensus is broken and waffling is exposed in a no holds barred debate. Oh and the music and banter is pretty good too.

Show Line Up- 18th of August

Aug 18th, 2010, 2:56 am

garda grad

On tonight’s programme hosted by Chris Donoghue we examine the resourcing of An Garda Siochana na hEireann. Damien McCarthy, President of the Garda Representative Association (GRA) is in studio to convey the perspective of rank & file gardai. With government cut backs, high retirement levels and low morale, what is the state of the guardians of the peace in 2010? In addition, with the widespread use of guns by criminal gangs has the time come to fully arm the Gardai?

Spectrum-Circle

In order for Ireland to overcome its dire state, should the solutions be found by moving to the left or towards libertarianism? For a lively ideological debate Chris will be speaking with Cllr. Richard Boyd Barrett (People Before Profit Alliance), Cllr. Killian Forde (Labour), Brian Canny ( www.Irishlibertyforum.org ), Cllr. Bill Tormey (Fine Gael) & Richard Waghorne of the Daily Mail.

There will also be all the usual comment, debate & analysis, as well as a preview of the morning papers.

Coleman at Large, 22:00-0:00, Tuesdays & Wednesdays, Newstalk 106-108 FM
