In this documentary, we visit Ireland’s smallest secondary school, Coláiste Phobail Colmcille. Located on Tory Island, some fifteen miles off the northwest coast of Donegal, the school has been celebrating the completion of its first decade. Before it was set up in 1999, initially as a pilot initiative between the Donegal Vocational Education Committee and the island’s Co-op, children from the island had to leave home at the age of 12 to attend secondary school on the mainland.
