In association with The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI), Moncrieff is looking for the Newstalk Best Local 2010. It might be that it serves the best pint around or maybe its simply where everybody knows your name. Whatever the reason, a huge number of us keep a special place in our heart for the local pub. Whether its rustic or modern, traditional or gastro pub, everyone has their favourite hideaway from the stresses of life.
* You could win one of four weekend breaks in one of the amazing Flynn Hotels located around Ireland. You could also help your local pub win a LIVE radio broadcast with Sean Moncrieff AND a radio advertising campaign on Newstalk 106-108 fm.
What you need to do!
- See if your local qualifies (it has to be a VFI pub).
- They will carry the details of province, pub name and location on posters in the pub.
- Text those details to 53106 (texts cost 30 cents) – Lines open on July 19th.
- 13th August – Closting date for entries and 4 provincial finalists are chosen.
- 23rd August – Finalists are invited on-air to convince the public why they should win the Newstalk Best Local 2010.
- 27th August – Winner is chosen and crowned Newstalk Best Local 2010.
- 3rd September – Moncrieff broadcasts live from your pub starting at 2pm.
