Once again, we here at Off the Ball Towers have been fighting the recession in the only way we know how – gambling.

With thanks to the great Donn McClean, we had a hugely successful Cheltenham when Donn went against the odds-on favourites in the 2 big races. Big Zeb at 10/1 in the Champion Chase and Imperial Commander at 8/1 in the Gold Cup both won us a fortune (Ken Early in particular was ecstatic on Gold Cup day after winning a full €8!)

Since then, the streak has continued…

Even in the biggest lottery of them all, the Grand National, Donn’s each way tip State of Play finished well in the money, and just to show it’s not just the big ones… last week, Donn’s Big Tip, Azmeel romped home at 7/2 in a Derby Trial at Chester.
