Kildare’s Ken Donnelly is unlikely to see any further action this season after it was confirmed that he has suffered cruciate knee damage. Donnelly suffered the season-ending blow in a recent challenge game and joins fellow long-term injury victims Mikey Conway and Rob Kelly on the sidelines.
The Lilywhites open their provincial campaign against Louth at Páirc Tailteann on Saturday but manager Kieran McGeeney will be without the injured trio, with Conway not expected to return until after the Leinster campaign as he continues his rehabilitation from a cruciate knee injury.
