The body of a young woman has been recovered from the River Shannon on the outskirts of Limerick city.
It was discovered by members of the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue unit shortly before 9 o’clock this morning near the village of Meelick.
It’s believed the body may be that of a teenage girl from Limerick city who has been missing for over a month.
The remains have been taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
