The organisation that oversees Northern Ireland’s water supply has sacked half of its board after an internal inquiry.

Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy has dismissed the chairman and three non-executive directors of Northern Ireland Water.

The move follows a damning report into the mishandling of lucrative contracts.

There will now be a second internal investigation of staff.
