Members of a Dail committee are visiting Cork today to find out how November’s floods caused so much devastation.

The Oireachtas Environment Committee is on a fact finding trip, which will include a meeting with ESB bosses tomorrow.

It comes as one insurance company says its been inundated with customer claims arising from nationwide flooding in the last 3 months of 2009.

Aviva’s fourth quarter results show its received €91 million worth of flood related claims.
