Dr. Nitchske is the head of Exit International, an organisation that conducts workshops on assisted suicide. The controversial doctor joined Orla in studio to talk about why he thinks it’s within anyone’s rights to choose when to end their own lives, and why he does what he does. Dr. Nitchske was also joined on the line by Dr. Des O Neill, who strongly disagrees with his practices, and in studio by Tom, a man who has been caring for his partner for the last 10 years. She has been suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, and they have decided together that when the time comes, Tom will assist his partner with her own death. You can listen to this piece below.
