Fianna Fail TD Jimmy Devins says the current controversy is no reflection on the Health Minister, despite his dissatisfaction with cancer services in Sligo.

But he did admit on Lunchtime here on Newstalk he would rather a Fianna Fail TD in her job.

“In many aspects, she is doing a good job” he said.

“Obviously I have my own difficulties in relation to the cancer situation that developed in Sligo”.

“It is a very, very difficult job and I think she has done a reasonable job”.

“I would prefer to see a Fianna Fail minister in Health” he added.
