Gardai investigate Dublin Tiger Kidnapping

Sep 2nd, 2010, 4:09 pm

Gardai are investigating a tiger kidnapping in Dublin.

The wife of a bank official attached to AIB Clondalkin was abducted from her home in Templeogue this morning.

Her husband was told to obtain a sum of cash from the bank and await instructions.

It is believed up to 3 people were involved.

At least 1 of them was armed with a firearm.

The woman was released in Ennisckerry in Co. Wicklow at 12:45pm where she raised the alarm.

Gardai would like to hear from anyone who was in the Domville Drive area of Templeogue over the past few days and who may have seen anything suspicious.

They are also appealing for information on the movements of a black Nissan Qashqai with an 08-D registration from 7am this morning between Templeogue, Corkagh Park and AIB Clondalkin.

An incident room has been set up at Terenure Garda Station and anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí on 01-6666400.
