Fine Gael TD Alan Shatter is said to be ‘considering’ the content of a HSE letter in relation to the case of a woman who died in 2002.

The party’s children’s spokesperson published a HSE report on the case yesterday, which highlighted a series of failures in the social services handling of the 18 year old’s case.

Deputy Shatter is under fire from the HSE which says publication of the report breached the rights of the woman’s family – they’ve now asked him to withdraw it from the public record.
