A young Irishman has a major adventure planned for next year and it is one of the more unusual ones too.
Keith Whelan is planning to become the first person from this country to row across the Indian Ocean and the youngest person ever to do it.
It will take at least 100 days and he is planning on doing it without any clothes on.

He has been explaining his no-clothes-rule.
“Obviously when you’re rowing in an ocean it’s a very salty environment all the time so…basically you row naked because what happens is the salt gets encrusted in your clothes and it’s pretty much like rowing on sandpaper after a while” he said.
“Because you’re sitting down for 10-12 hours a day, it can get pretty nasty”.
“So basically the thing to do with ocean rowers is to row naked on top of a sheepskin rug – it makes it a little more bearable” he added.
