The jury in the Eamon Lillis murder trial will start into a second day of deliberations today.
The 52 year old father is accused of hitting his wife Celine Cawley three times with a brick at their Dublin home in Howth on December 15th 2008.
Mr. Justice Barry White told the jurors ‘abide by your conscience’ as they settled in to their task of reaching a verdict.
But before they resume deliberations, the six men and six women have asked for a recap of some of the evidence.
They want to hear again the findings of the post mortem that concluded Celine Cawley suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
They also want to hear the evidence of the accused Eamonn Lillis who denies killing his wife but, admits he was a major participant in the domestic scuffle that led to her death.
They have also asked for the 999 call he made that morning to be played again and to see items – including some of his bloodstained clothes found by gardai at the couple’s Howth home.
