Up to 87 high-end jobs for graduates have been announced for the Tyndell Institute in Cork.
37 of the posts will come through an investment by American multinational, United Technologies Corporation.
The remaining jobs will follow from a €20 million Government investment in a new International Energy Research Centre, also at UCC.
Minister for Enterprise Batt O’Keeffe says it’s good news that one of the world’s foremost companies decided to set up here.
“We see this as a significant development – not in the number of jobs it creates today, but in the opportunity that it provides in terms of high tech sustainable jobs into the future” he said.
