Two-thirds of parents in Ireland admit to smacking their children.

A Newstalk Nation poll of over 820 people shows most only do it on a rare occasion, but 4% say they smack their kids regularly.

And if their child complains of being hit by another child, one-fifth of parents would advise them to hit back, with just 16% telling them to ‘walk away’.
