The partner of Larry Murphy’s brother says she just wants her family to be left in peace now.
Helen is the partner of Larry Murphy’s only brother Thomas and says the past few weeks have been the ‘most difficult and most stressful of her life’.
She wants to make clear that Larry who is due to release from prison tomorrow will not be living with her family in Baltinglass.
It is understood the convicted rapist will be let free from Arbour Hill Prison tomorrow morning after having served a 10 year jail term.
Helen says the past few weeks have been the worst of her life.
“I don’t think I could put in words how stressful it’s been, how difficult for Thomas and myself and our children” she said.
“I’ve never gone through such a stressful time in my life, really”.
“I suppose once he comes out tomorrow the media will follow him wherever he does go, and hopefully at that stage we’ll be left alone” she added.
Helen also said she had to clarify the situation to her neighbours and friends.
“There’s only a certain amount of people that have had the attitude that he was coming to us” she said.
“The first week I spent knocking on doors that I knew that under no circumstances was he coming to us” she added.
