A second man injured in a plane crash in County Wicklow at the weekend has died in hospital.

He’s been named locally as 69 year old Dr. Michael Slazenger, owner of the Powerscourt estate near Enniskerry.

He’s thought to have been the pilot of the plane that crashed when attempting to land on an airstrip on the estate on Saturday afternoon.

Another man on board, 66 year old Noel Whitney, died at the scene.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
