Motorists are again being urged to avoid any unnecessary journeys this evening – as roads nationwide remain in a treacherous condition.
Met Eireann is warning of heavy snowfalls of up to 10 centimetres in Leinster and Munster over the weekend – with temperatures set to plummet to minus 12 degrees.
Disruption to travel across the country is not as severe this evening as recent days – but conditions remain very dangerous.
Bus Eireann says it hopes to operate as many peak time services as possible in the East this evening – subject to weather and road conditions.
However, some routes across Leinster are experiencing delays – with a small number of cancellations on Waterford and Clonmel services.
Most routes are also running in the rest of the country – albeit with delays in a few areas.
Dublin Bus says its operating a full service this evening – however there are a number of curtailments in place due to the adverse weather.
Nitelink services will not be running tonight or tomorrow night.
Irish Rail says its Docklands services are again diverted to and from Connolly Station – but all other services are operating; although there’s very heavy demand on DART and Commuter routes.
