Few areas of scientific research are invoking as much hope or hype as stem cells. The concept of using so called master cells to heal or replace damaged tissues is truly awe inspiring, but it is by no means straightforward. This morning we spoke to two guests well versed in the area of stem cell research. One through study and practice, the other through personal experience. Professor Orla Hardiman, consultant neurologist and Clinical Professor of Neurology in Trinity College Dublin and  Martin Codyre spinal cord injury research advocate joined us in studio.
