Gardaí have found a vehicle which they believe may have been used in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl in Tallaght last night.
The black SUV was found in the Citywest area shortly before midnight.
Gardaí are trying to trace the movements of the vehicle in the 2 hours before that.
An investigation has been launched following the incident in Jobstown.
The Justice Minister has branded the fatal shooting as horrific and says these types of incidents will not be tolerated.

The girl was a passenger in a car that was parked in an estate in Tallaght when shots were fired into the vehicle.
She was taken to Tallaght Hospital where she died.
This incident happened just after 10:30pm night when a group of people were sitting in a car outside a house on Brookview Way in Tallaght.
A number of shots were fired from a passing vehicle into the car.
A 16-year-old young girl sustained head injuries and was rushed into Tallaght Hospital where she later died.
The scene has been sealed off for a full technical examination.
An incident room has been set up a Tallaght Garda Station and Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
