Gardaí have named a 24-year-old man who was shot dead in Co. Donegal yesterday as Andrew Allen.
The Derry native was gunned down in the bedroom of a house in Links View Park in Buncrana last night after moving to the area around 6 months ago.
His partner was also in the house at the time but she was not injured in the attack.
Technical examinations are continuing at the scene and a post mortem will be carried out on the remains later.
Speaking at a press conference attended by Highland Radio Superintendent Kevin English refused to be drawn on reports that those behind the killing have links with a group known as the ‘Republican Action Against Drugs’.
