Italian prosecutors want Amanda Knox charges reinstated – reports

Feb 14th, 2012, 4:49 pm

Prosecutors in Italy have reportedly asked the highest criminal court there to reinstate murder convictions of Amanda Knox and her former boyfriend.

Prosecutors filed the appeal over 4 months after a court threw out the convictions against her and Raffaele Sollecito for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in 2007.

Prosecutor Giovanni Galati is quoted by news agency ANSA as saying the appeals sentence must be thrown out and that it was full of “omissions and many errors”.

The prosecutors appeal marks the 3rd and final stage in the criminal case against Knox and Sollecito.
