An elderly man has died in a house fire in Co. Mayo.
The alarm was raised at about 10:45am this morning.
Gardaí and the fire service attended a house fire at Gortmelia in Inver.
Gardaí have confirmed that an elderly man died in the fire.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
His body will be removed to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar for a post-mortem examination.
