Gardai are still questioning three men in connection with a seizure of a firearm in the capital earlier today.

A handgun and ammunition were found when officers searched two cars on the Swords Road close to Dublin Airport at lunchtime.

The three – two aged 35, the other aged 33 – are being held at Ballymun and Santry Garda Station, under section thirty of the Offences against the State Act.
