For almost three years now, NASA’s Kepler spacecraft has been monitoring the light from distant and not-so-distant stars to find tell-tale signs of orbiting planets. On today’s Futureproof, we’ll be speaking with Steve Howell, the Deputy Project Scientist on the Kepler Mission. We’ll be chatting to Steve about the most recent developments in Kepler’s hunt for new planets outside our Solar System, and about what the discovery of new planets is telling us about how the universe works.
