‘Leave the PJs at home if you’re collecting the dole.’

A sign was put up at the social welfare office in Damastown, Dublin 15 warning claimants that pyjamas are not regarded as appropriate attire for those attending the office to collect social welfare payments.

Henry McKean looks at the PJ fashion statement and asked is it disrespectful to wear Pyjamas in the street? If you turn up to the Social welfare office in your PJs are you serious about getting a job?
