Singer and XFactor contestant, Mary Byrne, chatted to Tom Dunne about being in favour of the Voice of Ireland format and also revealed how she noticed Prince Philip had ‘a glint in his eye’ when she met him last year.
However, Mary opened up about the tough time she had on the X Factor talent show: “It was four months of very gruelling schedules. I looked at the kids and they could handle it but emotionally I found it hard but I knew what those emotions meant whereas they didn’t…. The attention I had was unbelievable. Dermot was very good, he’d be like ‘Buck it up there girl’ which was great. I used to be thinking what am I doing here? But I’m so proud I did it.”
