The average time to a 24-hour emergency hospital in the north is 16 minutes but 21 minutes in the Republic. People living in Dublin are 8 minutes from a hospital while in parts of Kerry, north Mayo and southern Donegal that time is over one hour.

We’ve all sat through a boring sermon or two in our time but usually a bit of day dreaming gets you through it. Well not Seamus Doherty according to page 3 of the Indo. If one was asked to list where the top hotels in the world could be found, they would be forgiven for suggesting Paris, Rome, London or New York. Maybe even somewhere in the Caribbean or the south pacific. Well according to Trip Advisor, the sixth best hotel in the world can be found in Dingle. Page 2 of the Examiner reports that Castelwood House was classed as the best hotel in Ireland, the second best in Europe and the sixth best in the world.

Page 5 of the Examiner features some sound advice for parents. They give answers for five questions asked by kids that regularly stump adults. They are why is the sky blue? Why is the moon sometimes out in the day? Will we discover aliens? How much does the earth weigh? How do planes stay in the air?
