Irish fighter Andy Lee has been promised that he will get his shot at a world title ‘soon’ after he was confirmed on the undercard for Matthew Macklin’s St Patricks’ Day showdown against Sergio Martinez.
Macklin will challenge Martinez for his Middleweight championship at Madison Square Garden in New York in a fight that will be broadcast by the H.B.O television network.
Lee has been named on the undercard where he will face an, as yet, un-named fighter. He spoke to Ger Gilroy and Joe Molloy on Newstalk Sport at the weekend.
